Ngati Pākehā, is a way of describing my cultural heritage. My ancestors came from several places. Some from Norway arrived on a waka (ship) called Høvding. Other members of my family travelled on a waka, from England, called the Edwin Fox.

Ko te whenua tupu ( I grew up in) Ōtautahi, Christchurch, with Te Poho-o-Tamatea, the Port Hills, inhabiting my southern horizon. They remain a steadfast reference. I look south to them, from my kāinga (home) in New Brighton. We're between Te Moana-nui-a Kiwa, the Pacific Ocean, and the Ōtākaro Avon river and near Ōrua Paeroa. Surrounded by the ocean, the river, and stunning wetlands, this is a beautiful part of Ōtautahi.

Ko Bolstad tōku whānau. Ko Corinne tōku ingoa. Bolstad is my family name. Corinne is my preferred name. My pronouns are she/her.

Tēnā tātou katoa — Greetings to one and all
